Freud Saw Blades

Freud saw blades are manufacturered to precise standards yielding freud saw blades with extended life and utility. Freud's blade bodies are precision laser cut from premium grade hardened steel (Rockwell 40-45). Laser technology is also used to cut the specially designed expansion slots in freud saw blades, eliminating blade distortion caused by centrifugal forces and thermal expansion stresses. When needed, anti-kickback features, such as chip limitators to restrict tooth bite, are designed into the blades. Freud's red blades are DuPont Teflon coated to reduce friction, heat, and resin build-up, in addition to protecting the blades from corrosion. Each Freud saw blade is precision ground and tensioned before the teeth are applied to ensure accuracy and true balance. Freud saw blade teeth are made of a Super Micrograin Carbide providing durable, long lasting tips that really hold an edge. Each tooth in freud saw blades is tri-metal brazed to create a strong and impact resistant bond between the carbide and the bit.
